The suspect boat was last seen leaving the scene of the accident in a southern direction toward Chalk Cliffs. The suspect boat’s operator (bottom) was described as a white, heavy-set male with a moustache, wearing a hat. Also in the boat was a white female with blonde hair, earlier reports said. The accident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on Lake Havasu near Havasu Lake, Calif., after Norris, who was one of two people riding on an inflatable recreational water toy being towed behind a boat fell off and was struck by a boater as Norris’ towboat was turning around to retrieve him. The suspect boat reportedly slowed after being hailed by the victim’s boat, then fled the scene of the accident. Norris was initially transported to Havasu Landing Marina where CPR was continued until San Bernardino County Fire Boat arrived. SBCFD took over CPR efforts until the Lake Havasu City’s Fire Boat arrived to transport the victim to the Windsor Launch Ramps at Lake Havasu State Park, according to earlier reports. " Has the video tapes from all the local gas stations been pulled and viewed? I live in Missouri and am not familiar with the Lake Havasu area, but I know around here everyone going to the lake stops at a near by gas station to fill up with gasoline and usually buy drinks, cigs etc. Just a thought I wanted to share maybe they would show up on tape and be able to zoom in a the license plate. We all need to pull together across the states and find Eric's killer. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and esp his son. Injured skier to see teammates

His father says it’s a reunion that Scott Finlay is looking forward to.

“He hasn’t seen a lot of them in a while,” said Hugh Finlay of his son’s former Ontario alpine ski teammates.

“They live all over Canada. It will be emotional for him.”

On March 2, Scott Finlay, 55, his father, mother Rosemary and siblings David and Laurie will travel to the Osler Bluff Ski Club in Collingwood to attend a fundraiser for the Napanee Acquired Brain Injury and Rehabilitation Home.

Hugh and Rosemary Finlay, both in their early 80s, hope the facility will one day be home to Scott, who at age 21 suffered a debilitating brain injury in a crash at the Canadian alpine ski championships in Lake Louise, Alta., on Feb. 24, 1978.

At the time, Scott Finlay was vying for a berth on the Canadian team that featured the fabled Crazy Canucks, including Ken Read, Steve Podborski, who last week was named Canada’s chef de mission for the 2014 Winter Olympics, and Dave Irwin, who also suffered a traumatic brain injury in a skiing accident in 2001.
