CNRL adds another crane accident to its long list of safety woes ...
The crane was not properly positioned/rigged for movement. (Pushed/rushed) and the ground level was well outside the safe driving limits. Cutting corners is par for the course at CNRL where no dollar is spent where it might be shaved. Regardless of the minute details this is the kind of incident that is always preventable, and almost always the result of client (CNRL) interference leading to contractor supervision making mistakes. If an O.E. or other experienced crane operator would please email me, I’d like to ask some questions and clarify details for an update to this post in the future!
