Cadott (WQOW) - Emergency crews rush to a Chippewa County business Monday afternoon.
They were needed at a local manufacturer in Cadott. Investigators say a 29-year-old man was working on a bulldozer when the arm fell on top of him and pinned him. Police say the man was freed within minutes of being trapped. He was airlifted to an Eau Claire hospital.
"These injuries that were sustained by the person today were primarily internal. It's very hard for the EMS to determine just how bad they are at the scene and we need to get them to an advanced facility as fast as possible and that's through the air" say Officer Daryl Pries of the Cadott Police Department.
Police say he was conscious, but beyond that... There's no word on what condition he's in at the hospital Monday night. His name hasn't been released. Police also say they don't know how heavy the piece of machinery was that pinned him.
