Ride or die: local attorney brings 'street' smarts to the law office

An attorney with the Norristown-based law firm Fox and Fox, Witmer caught the riding itch when he was a teenager and rode sport bikes and dirt bikes with his friends. From that moment, I was hooked, he said. Having grown up on a farm in Hershey, Witmer said there was plenty of land around to roam. He moved out of his parents house when he was 17 and bought his first bike, a Kawasaki Ninja 500. When he first began practicing law, Witmer said he was handling the rather morbid matters, such as personal injury, estate planning and domestic relations. As a motorcycle rider himself, he realized, what better advocate for riders than one who understands their needs? Theres a greater problem for motorcycle riders, he said. Ive run into a lot of people who do ride and its something that Ive been passionate about for 20 years. Ive tried to incorporate that into educating other riders and teaching about safe riding.
