    Knee Pain Symptoms

Knee injuries may be acute or chronic, which develops for a period of time. The knee joint is a complex hinge. You can not bend, slide, glide and swivel without it. An acute knee resulting from an accident will change into a chronic knee injury after 20 years. When osteoarthritis develops, it causes the knee to collapse. Pain and swelling have close tie with knee injuries.

    Knee Pain Causes

Knee injuries occur because of many reasons. Football players develop chronic knee problems due to constant wear and tear and continuous use. Sudden high bump and twist on the knee can tear the meniscus and the crescent-shaped cartilage which is between thigh and crus. If the bone in the knee cap breaks into pieces and cartilage is torn from its proper position, the pieces will float into the joint cavity. Once puncturing the knee joint, the knee is locked and injured.

Is it a posterior cruciate ligament injury? ?

Read bout all the symptoms online and it sounds exactly what happened to me! The only thing I was wondering is that would it really be a Posterior cruciate ligament injury if it happened 4months ago and I haven't seen a doc about my knees? They're still complete agony though!

why suffer? see an orthopedic surgeon. i thought i had an MCL tear. did the same as you on line. went to the surgeon. meniscus tear! verified by an MRI. soft tissue damage will not image with x rays. i went from pain, to crutches over a three month period.

    Have i torn my meniscus/cartilage?

Ive had a bad knee for about 3 month now. It often catches when walking and cracks while doing pivoting motions. I am not sure but i think the injury first started while i was dancin at the end of january. I bent down to the floor crouching on my knees and my knee locked. Also, i sometimes get the sensation that my knee is giving way and feels unstable. It sometimes hurts whilst walking too. I have looked online and my symptoms relate to a torn meniscus

Not all Meniscus tears need surgery. I have torn mine 3 times and I only got sugary once. Go to your doctor to make sure and get an MRI. that will give you a diagnosis for sure.

Jameer Nelson held out of Hawks game because of knee injury

Nelson missed his seventh game of the season — one to neck spasms and the other five to concussion-like symptoms.

Nelson has had an up-and-down season averaging 9.3 points and 5.3 assists per game in 28 starts.

Chris Duhon will start in his place against the Hawks, who were missing PG Joe Johnson (knee tendinitis).

The Magic welcomed back SG Jason Richardson. Richardson, who missed the past three games because of a pain in his chest, started against Atlanta.

Richardson sat out Sunday afternoon's game in Miami, complaining of chest pains, fearing at first that the pains were related to his heart. Doctors have told him he has a lung inflammation.

    J-Rich cleared to play

Richardson warmed up before the game without difficulty and was cleared to play.

On the first play against the Hawks, Richardson grabbed a rebound and fed Dwight Howard for a dunk, then scored on a post move against Kirk Hinrich.

J-Rich was not only active, but well-rested and full of energy. He then knocked a loose ball off Hawks PF Josh Smith, diving into the stands.
