Any tips on running the 800m?

I ran my first 800m this week and I didn't do as well as I wanted to. It was my first meet, but my team was already in 5 meets. I missed the first 5 meets because I had knee injuries. And I also missed a lot of practice. Unfortunately, there is only one more meet left. Any tips on how I can do better with my time?

Your first race is always the hardest and helps set you up to do better your next race. Also since your injured don't be too hard on yourself since there is always next year. Start training for XC or conditioning for track especially weight lifting

    Running Injury What Happened?

One day me and my friend where shooting around playing basketball then decided to go for a run (race). We were running in a grassy field. I was running for about 10 seconds then of a sudden I had to stop because my left leg/knee gave out. The first step I took I could not bear weight on it. The second step I was able to walk slowly back to the car. No swelling or redness. This hurt for a few days, then eventually got better after a week as if nothing

you had better to ask your doctor

That's weird! You should really ask a doctor about this. Just because the pain went away doesn't mean the danger's gone. You never know.... Consult a doctor and tell him this. He might be able to help.

Freeman's injured knee better a day later

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Freddie Freeman and the Braves breathed a little easier Wednesday after he woke   feeling better a day after partially dislocating his right kneecap.

The Braves didn’t think the big first baseman would be sidelined more than a week, and Freeman said he would try to get back to practice Friday and talk his way into the lineup for Saturday’s Grapefruit League opener against Detroit.

It was his second subluxation of the right patella in two years, and Freeman plans to wear a knee brace from now on.

He was hurt picking a throw during a defensive drill, the same injury  he had in May 2010 at Triple-A Gwinnett. After that injury he was back in the lineup one week later as a designated hitter and back at first base within two weeks.

“I feel a lot better today,” said Freeman, 22, who had been worried Tuesday after hearing his knee pop and seeing the patella (kneecap) slide to one side. “Yesterday I thought this one was a little bit worse, but when I got up this morning I was able to get out of bed without really any pain. I think I’ll be back sooner than we thought.”
