Whiplash injuries in crash
Two people were hospitalized for whiplash after their car was rear-ended by another vehicle on Floyd Avenue Wednesday evening.
Law enforcers said the injured driver only had a learner’s permit.
Police said Brianna K. Howard, 22, of 410 Expense St., was southbound at 7 p.m. when she attempted to make a left turn onto Oakwood Street with her 1994 Buick sedan. Police said Howard’s car was then rear-ended by a 2004 Ford pickup, driven by Adam A. Bremm, 48, of Lacona in Oswego County.
Police said Howard and passenger Aaron B. Woods, 23, were both treated at Rome Memorial Hospital. Howard was driving on only a learner’s permit, so police said she was ticketed for driving out of class. Woods did not have a license either. Police said Bremm was not injured, and he was ticketed for following too closely.
