OSU student killed in traffic accident near campus, investigation ...
An Ohio State student, Ryan Williams, died Thursday night after a motor vehicle accident on Olentangy River Road.
Williams was a 23-year-old in engineering from New Albany, Ohio, and was part of the Buckeye Electric Motorcycle Race Team.
The accident occurred just before 8:30 p.m., when Williams' motorcycle collided with a Volkswagen Passat at the intersection of Olentangy River Road and state route 315 southbound access ramps, according to a Columbus Police report.

Ridgefield woman dies in Lewis River Road crash
On 2/18/12 at 4:06 pm Woodland Police and Fire responded to a two vehicle unknown injury accident with airbag deployment per ON STAR at Lewis River Road (SR 503) and North Goerig St. Officers arriving on scene came across a head on collision between two vehicles . Investigation at the scene showed an 2007 Chevy Tahoe driven by an adult woman from Portland, Ore., was eastbound on Lewis River Road in the 1500 block when it crossed the center line striking head on into a 1993 Toyota pickup driven by an adult male from Ridgefield, Wa., who was westbound on Lewis River Road. All occupants of the Ridgefield vehicle were taken to Vancouver hospitals. Shortly thereafter arriving at the hospital one of the adult passengers in the Ridgefield vehicle died from blunt force trauma to the chest. No one was apparently injured in the Portland vehicle. Woodland PD with the assistance of the WSP are continuing to investigation the collision. Names of the drivers and the deceased will be r
eleased once it has been confirmed that next of kin has been notified.
