Traffic Accidents Cause Multiple Deaths on Houston Roadways ...
Three people are dead after a series of tragic traffic accidents at the end of last week, and another person was discovered who had lost their life in an apparent hit-and-run incident on Houston roadways since.
Police say the deadly spree of crashes and collisions began around 8:50 p.m. last Thursday. A 21 year-old Houston man, was killed when his Hyundai Elantra collided with a semi-tractor trailer truck. According to the police report, the man was driving his maroon Elantra at a high rate of speed and collided with the 18-wheeler as it turned left onto the highway.

Snow, icy weather reported in parts of Hampton Roads
A winter storm that dumped wet snow through parts of Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, West Virginia and Virginia on Sunday rolled into Hampton Roads on Sunday night with a mix of rain and snow.
This morning, the National Weather Service was expecting the rain/snow mix to end by 8 a.m. with the wet weather clearing by mid to late morning. Temperatures above freezing overnight kept roads mostly clear in much of South Hampton Roads. The weather service received reports of a 1/2 inch of snow in Jamestown and 3/8 inch of snow in York County by late Sunday night.
This morning, about 1,000 Dominion Virginia Power customers were without service, mostly scattered throughout South Hampton Roads. More than 12,000 in the Richmond area were waiting for service to be restored.
Some schools not already closed for today's holiday were reporting closures or delays. See a complete list on WVECs website.
A high surf advisory is in effect until 11 a.m. and a coastal flood statement issued by the weather service said that tides were expected to be about 1 1/2 feet above normal at morning high tide. North winds are expected to subside by late morning, but rough surf and minor erosion are expected along Virginia Beach.
