The bus driver initially received just a three-day suspension, but with video tape now being shown as evidence of the illegal act of texting while driving, the Muni operator could now lose her job.
The video footage, which the passenger gave to KTVU and which appears to show the driver texting while driving, the agency could increase its punishment, Rose said. Using the phone while driving is not only illegal, but violates agency regulations and is punishable by termination.

Caught on Tape: Van near Richmond crashes on I-295
RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia State Police responded to nearly 1,000 traffic accidents as snow fell across the state through Monday morning, according to Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar.
Molnar said on Sunday state troopers responded to 881 crashes and 456 calls for disabled vehicles. Nearly 230 of those crash calls occurred in and around Richmond, Virginia.
Monday morning state police responded to more than 40 crashes in metro-Richmond.
A Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) truck was among six vehicles involved in a Monday morning accident on Interstate 95 North in Prince George County, Virginia. Molnar said med-flight was called in to carry at least one patient to the hospital. The crash closed northbound Interstate 95 for a period of time Monday morning.
Another trouble spot appeared to be Interstate 295 in western Henrico County, Virginia. Several cars and trucks slid on black ice and ran off the interstate and into ditches on either side of the highway.
