New Health and Safety Executive figures released today
The number of workers being killed in accidents at work has fallen to its lowest ever level, according to new figures released by the Health and safety Executive for the period between 1 April 2009 and 31 March 2010. The provisional statistics released by the HSE for 2009/2010 show that 151 people lost their lives whilst at work. This compares with 178 deaths in 2008/2009 and an average for the last 5 years of 220 deaths per year.

Injuries show the dangers of childcare The president of Child Care NSW, Vicki Skoulogenis, said accidents could not always be blamed on a lack of supervision. ''It's just the natural state of being a child … they're still figuring out how their arms and legs work. |

Big bridge projects have highs, lows Motorists traveling 80 mph blow by the freeway workers just 5 feet away. Accidents claimed the lives of one worker on each project. Tempting as it is to compare the price tags, transportation officials cautioned those figures are deceptive. |

I have a 2 year old tibetan spaniel who is impossible to housebreak. She will even crap in her crate in her bed and lay in it. I have tried rewarding her for when she uses the bathroom outside, spanking her, piddle pads, dog dipers(she would go to the bathroom and not even care). I took off a week from work to housebreak her. I would catch her in the act and tell her NO really firm. She still doesn't care. I have a half acre fenced in yard and leave
My 10 month old dog keeps pooping in her kennel and I'm at the end of my rope here. She is completely housetrained and hasn't had an accident in weeks. She was kennel trained and then about 2 months ago, she started pooping in her kennel (no urinating). She only stays in there between 4-6 hours because that is how long I work at my job. I have done everything people on here have suggested to everyone else. We have made her kennel smaller, we
Most often in these cases it's because the crate is too big. The smaller the better, only large enough for the dog to stand up, turn around, and lay back down. If the crate is the right size the dog will be able to relax and sleep.
Warm weather and little snow has meant a lot less car accidents in the Mankato area. While that is good for drivers and law enforcement, it has actually put a damper on some businesses here in town.
During the winter it is rare to find an Affordable Towing employees jacket or boots not out in the field, this winter, they have spent most of the time in the garage with the trucks.
Affordable Towing Owner Bruce Macrafic says, "A typical winter we are working a lot of overtime, pulling lots of cars out of the ditch and helping people that need their car started. This winter, not so much."
Cmdr. Pam Hermanson with Mankato Public Safety says, "The lack of snow and ice this winter has made driving around town easier and less stressful than it usually is this time of the year."
According to Mankato Department of Public Safety statistics, since November there have been 570 crashes, compared to 877 during the same period last winter.
And we don't even need statistics, just look outside, the winter is nearing its end and we can probably count the days were we have had bad roads on just one hand.
