Is the current refinanced mortgage loan valid if previous one was forged?

I just want to know if my husband has a valid case and what he should do next. The story is that after buying a house(1998) with his first wife she took out a second mortgage (1999) and forged his name. He had no idea this was happening and kept it hidden from him. Fears on ACC work injury cover

Concern is growing that the Government is preparing to shut the Accident Compensation Corporation out of work injury cover to enable private insurers to compete in the market.

ACC's work account was due to be opened to competition in October but that date now seems likely to be pushed out until April 2013 after ACC Minister Judith Collins said she needed more time to consider the Government's options.

A paper outlining options for privatising the work account and expanding the accredited employer scheme was due to go to a Cabinet committee for approval on Wednesday.

Collins said a reviewed paper would now be ready in a few months.

The paper suggested ACC levies would have to increase to ensure private insurers can compete with ACC, which pays no tax and is not required to pay a dividend to the Government.

Collins has called those suggestions "hypothetical" but will not be drawn on other options open to the Government.

Claimants lobby group ACC Futures says raising levies would be "unpalatable" to the Government and to the public.
